Our history in a nutshell

After more than 25 years in the world of language exchanges, through my own agency, I decided to create this network to make it much easier for people to carry out international exchanges between each other.

Traveling to learn languages or taking a course abroad is not available to everyone, being able to practice your favorite sport in another country is even more difficult and everything was even more complicated if you have any special requirements of food, allergies or medical conditions.

But, everything would change if people, with common interests and needs, could meet and contact each other directly through a platform, to be able to organize an exchange trip.

These 25 years of experience have shown me that the problems with host families were almost always because you could not choose the family yourself! You had to go through an agency. Nowadays, being able to validate if the other person is trustworthy is increasingly simple, with social networks, recommendations, talking to them and exchanging valid documentation. You can do it all by yourself! If you are able to personally choose who you want to organize an exchange with or be accommodated by, 90% of the problems disappear, if not 100%.

Perhaps you want your son/daughter to travel, but it does not suit you to welcome another student in your home, this means that another family will welcome him/her in an altruistic and cordial way.

Travel and stay with a native family allows you to completely immerse yourself in another language. The student will gain confidence, maturity, independence, and improve skills.

Host

Via Families offers you another proposal to meet other students, to be a host family.

Many students are only looking for host families, to stay and improve their language skills, to get to know another country or to do an exchange with another student.
