Idurre Z

Hello:
We are a family of five members. Iñaki, the father, is 55 years old and works as an Area Export manager in a company that produces tool machinery. Me, Idurre, the mother, is 52 years old and works as an accountant in a Finance department in Bilbao. We have three girls: Izaro is 22 years old and studies outside in Madrid, Malen is 19 (to be 20 soon) years old and Laia is 15 years old.
We live in a big town called Durango that is 30 min. far away from Bilbao. It is a nice area surrounded with lovely mountains and quite near to our capital and 40 min. far from the beaches.
When I was a young girl I had the great experience of being the Au pair of a 3 children family in Ireland. I have really good memories of that time with them. I still have a really good relationship with them. Ten years ago we had a lovely Scottish girl as an Au pair at home and she repeated the experience two years later. We keep in contact with her and had a great experience. Eight years ago we had an English University student at home and everybody loved sharing our different cultures, gastronomy and practicing English at home. We countinue having a good relationship with her too.
 
We would like to make a student exchange for Laia this time. We think it would be a good chance for her to know people from other countries, with other cultures and practice her English with a total immersion of the language.
It would be the first time for Laia staying outside alone, but we are sure she will enjoy the experience. She has been abroad with us in Ireland, in England and in France but never by her own.
Laia is an easygoing girl. She is very sociable, she loves having friends, practising sports, reading and making plans. Her level of English is quite good although she needs to practice it more. In this exchange we will be delighted to welcome your daughter at home and try to do the best to make her feel at home. Sure your family will try to do the same with Laia when she stays at yours.
I hope you will feel as interested as we are in sharing this experience with all the family, knowing it will remain in their memories forever.
